Electrical Panel modification
The wood front had to be cut parallel to the panel, so it won't hit the genoa track teak bolt cover.
A hinge was installed so the complete panel could be opened. Blue Seas terminal blocks were added in order to take some of the stress out of the original wires, a new ones were installed between these blocks and the switches.
Without the modification, every time I tried to change a switch or fuse holder, I ended up with two more broken or wire that came out of their terminals. Not anymore!! A new block for the ground is coming next, since the original is a regular terminal block, which is no good for this use.
New ground bar installed. The original was a crowded terminal block glued to the back of the panel between switches and fuse holders. Not a good location!!
The new bus bar has enough room for a lot more ground wires. Next step will be panel replacement with Blue Seas breaker panel.
